The SpaleBier microbrewery combines local connection with creative brewing expertise. Here at Spalentorweg 41 – just a stone’s throw from the historic Spalentor – Basel’s beer culture is celebrated with passion and dedication.
SpaleBier is brewed using traditional methods and is therefore a genuine craft beer. Due to the labour-intensive production in small batches, we cannot compete on price with industrially produced mass-market beer, but in return we offer an authentic beer experience away from the mainstream.
In addition to our popular standard varieties – S'Pale Ale, Blond and Dunkel – we also create special beers under the ‘Edition’ label for those keen to experiment.

SALES FROM THE BREWERY
Our beers can be purchased in 33cl bottles directly from the brewery.
Our brewery is open every Wednesday from 5.30 pm to 8 pm. Individual sales appointments can also be arranged (by email to spalebier@gmx.ch).

HOME DELIVERIES
In Basel and the surrounding area, we deliver six-packs directly to your door by bike. You can choose and mix and match the beer varieties in each six-pack. 
Place orders by email to spalebier@gmx.ch, providing the following details: first name and surname, delivery address, number of bottles per beer variety; photo ID for age verification.
Prepayment via Twint. Delivery charges for up to 7 six-packs (plus packaging costs of CHF 2 per six-pack):
- Basel: CHF 1.50 per km (there and back)
- Neighbouring municipalities: fixed rate of CHF 27.05 incl. VAT
- Greater Basel area: fixed rate of CHF 37.85 incl. VAT

INFORMATION FOR COLLECTORS
Please send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with CHF 2 or €2. In return, you will receive 4 different SpaleBier labels. We do not stock beer mats, glasses or similar items.
